So here I am putting together a little overview on what I am using and what is working for me when trying to capture professional (or as close to possible without breaking the bank) audio.

If you work on your laptop like I do 99.9% of the time and are always on the move. Then this will suit you even nicer.

Step one so far of this “overview” is what to use to cure the nasty sound quality you get when trying to record straight from your laptop’s audio jacks.

The cure???? M-Audio Preamp

I picked this up earlier today and will be testing it in the next couple of days. I’ll update with my results soon.

The recipe I am going to test first is the M-Audio preamp along with a ghetto homemade pop filter and a mixture of microphones I have laying around (ranging from cheap ones to so-so quality). I’ll be trying out a bunch of audio editing software as well (from cheap to high-end) to let you know what works the best too.

(why waste $$$ on higher priced items when you can find ways of doing it cheaper. And just as good.)
